CMG Arrest – Rebel member attending a prescribed place

What a sad joke the qld police and government are

Detectives from Taskforce Maxima have arrested an alleged patched member of the Rebels Criminal Motorcycle Gang after he allegedly attended a Rebels clubhouse at Virginia last month.

It will be alleged on July 5 police located a man in the yard of a Matheson Street address at Virginia. The house is a prescribed address under the Criminal Code (Criminal Organisations) Regulation 2013.

A 43-year-old Bridgeman Downs man was charged with being a participant of a criminal organisation and entering a prescribed place.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of Taskforce Maxima said: “Experience has shown gang houses are typically used by CMG members to plan crimes and to store drugs and weapons.”

“These laws were introduced to assist in disrupting this criminal behaviour and eliminating criminal gangs in Queensland,” he said.

“Police will continue to monitor gang houses and will continue to use all the powers and resources available to target the criminal behaviour of gang members.”
