Ex-Bandido and Robina shooting victim Jacques Teamo’s young son and second shooting victim Kathy Devitt give evidence in Brisbane trial

THE young son of Jacques Teamo recognised the man who shot his dad as a bikie because of his tattoos, a court has heard.

The Supreme Court in Brisbane has this morning heard evidence from Teamo’s son who was with his father shopping at the time.

The jury heard recorded interview with the boy who told police his dad was a Bandido and he recognised the shooter as a bikie also from his tattoos.

Mark James Graham, 28, has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Teamo and is also contesting a charge that he caused grievous bodily harm to shopper Kathy Devitt when he opened fire inside Robina Town Centre on April 28, 2012.

He has pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a gun on the same day.

It is alleged Graham, of Melbourne, pulled a handgun from his bumbag about 1.46pm and fired two shots inside the busy centre.

Teamo was hit in the arm and Ms Devitt in the buttocks.

Ms Devitt this morning told the jury she had been shopping at David Jones on the day.

She was then walking through the centre when she saw two men talking up ahead.

As she got closer one yelled and then she saw one raise his right arm.

“I saw a small, shiny gun,” she said.

“And that’s basically it until I heard the pop sound.

“I felt an ouch in the back of my right hip and my hand automatically went to that area.

“When I lifted my hand it was covered in blood.”

The court was told some fragments from the bullet remain inside her wound.

The trial continues.
