Western Sydney bikies charged
Thirteen members of the Nomads bikies have been arrested and their western Sydney clubhouse shut down in a police raid.
Officers executed a search warrant on the property in Wetherill Park on Friday evening as part of an investigation into the outlaw gang.
As a result, 13 Nomad members have been charged with habitually consorting with convicted offenders.
Gangs Squad Commander Superintendent Deborah Wallace says the arrests were made as part of a crackdown.
"These arrests have been made under legislation that makes it an offence for a person habitually to associate with two more convicted offenders," she said in a statement on Saturday.
Supt Wallace said many more consorting-related arrests were anticipated following the raid.
In addition to the consorting charges, four of the 13 members arrested on Friday have been variously charged with traffic, drug and weapon offences.
All have been granted conditional bail to appear in court in February.

Police execute raid on the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang
The men, charged under laws which prevent known criminals consorting with each other, were handcuffed out the front of the clubhouse about 7.45pm last night.
Gangs Squad Commander, Detective Supt Deborah Wallace, said the arrests are just the start of many.
“My message is that if further offences are detected under these laws, my detectives will continue to enforce the legislation to the fullest extent by arresting and charging those involved,” she said.
“These arrests have been made under legislation that makes it an offence for a person habitually to associate with two more convicted offenders.”
