3 into 1 for the Rocket

Since I bought the bike I've been looking for a better looking exhaust, personally I find the Rockets have too much chrome on the headers... and eventually I found this set...by CES Racing in Queensland, for just under $1200 including shipping. Great service, very easy people to deal with .

Bought them bare to save a few bucks, and matt blacked em with VHT and left them to dry while I pulled the stock stuff off...

Too much Chrome for me, good Staintune pipe though...

Nice and easy to pull everything to bits, had to pull the side cover to remove the oxy sensor cable connection so I could put the oxygen sensor away..running PC3 dont need it...

Next thing was fitting the new exhaust gaskets in the head ( supplied with the pipe )after removing the old ones....easy as...

All went well till I tried to fit the new pipe...the cover over the master cylinder had to come off as it protrudes to far towards the engine on this model, being a 2005...

No real biggy, but as the next pic shows the gap is only 6-8mm to the reservoir from the pipe so I'll probably put a piece of fibro or  asbestos sheet in there to stop it cooking...

So all back together in probably 2 hrs, there's superfluous brackets under the rear foot pegs each side that can come off when the other mufflers are removed, which I did....tidying it all up..

just the muffler to add when it arrives..

Cleans up this side too...... video below....too loud for the street atm...
