The Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor has shut down three bikie clubhouses this week as part of their ongoing proactive operations into gang activity.

On Wednesday 31 July 2013, officers raided the Comanchero clubhouse at Turella, in Sydney’s south, seizing alcohol, documentation and all OMCG paraphernalia. The premises was closed down.

Yesterday (Thursday 1 August 2013), Strike Force Raptor officers raided Hells Angels clubhouses in Haymarket in the Sydney CBD and Annandale in Sydney’s Inner West, again seizing alcohol, documentation and all OMCG paraphernalia. Both premises were closed down.

Police allegedly located evidence of alcohol being illegally sold on site at each clubhouse.

The occupiers of each of the premises will be issued with breaches under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.

Commander of the Gangs Squad, Detective Superintendent Arthur Katsogiannis, said the NSW Police Force would keep the pressure on.

“As long as some people within these gangs want to carry out criminal acts or allow their violent conflicts to be aired in public, we will be there to disrupt their day-to-day activities,” Det Supt Katsogiannis said.

Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009. It is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal enterprises.
