CANNABIS and cash were among items seized at a
Doonside man’s home during a raid by anti-bikie police today.
The 29-year-old, who police say is a member of the
Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle gang, will be issued a court attendance
notice after a small amount of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and
“other items” were taken by police at his Power St home just after
8am.
At 6.30am Strike Force Raptor officers seized
guns, cash and drug paraphernalia at a Rooty Hill home following
investigations into drug supply in Sydney’s west.
Police said they located a sawn-off rifle, a black
powder pistol and ammunition, as well as drug paraphernalia, a
quantity of unknown tablets and some prescribed tablets.
There were six people at the home at the time of
the raid.
A 52-year-old alleged associate of the Lone Wolf
outlaw motorcycle gang was charged with possess unauthorised
prohibited firearm; possess unregistered firearm; not keep firearm
safe; and possess ammunition.
He was refused bail to face Mount Druitt Local
Court today.
A 36-year-old man will be issued a court
attendance notice for possess prescribed restricted substance.
Inquiries into the other items seized are
continuing.
Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime
Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009.
It is a proactive and high-impact operation
targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal
enterprises.
