BEWILDERED customers and passers-by watched as officers from Strikeforce Raptor descended on Wicked Ink in High St, Penrith, on Friday morning.

Shop owner Robert Fielding said the officers were in the tattoo studio as part of an investigation into the assault of a woman, 18, at Penrith the day before.

He said the woman had attended the studio and police were searching for a book and T-shirt she had left behind.

Mr Fielding said police also retrieved the studio’s hard drive video recorder to trace the woman’s movements.

Police said the woman met with three men in a carpark in Union Lane about 2pm on Thursday when she was assaulted and fell to the ground. Police said a sum of cash was stolen and the men fled the scene.

At 8am on Friday police arrested two men in relation to the alleged assault.

A 25-year-old male, who is an alleged member of the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG), was arrested at a home at Emu Heights. He was taken to Penrith police station and charged with robbery, affray and possession of a restricted substance.

Police also attended an address at Cambridge Park and arrested a 29-year-old male, who is an alleged member of the Rebels OMCG. He was also charged with affray, assault and possession of a restricted substance.

Police are seeking assistance in locating the third man.

He is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a dark long-sleeved jumper with thin horizontal stripes. He was also wearing light-coloured camouflage pants and white sneakers and a cap. He is described as having dark-coloured hair and being about 175cm tall.

Police are also appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the incident or the events leading up to it.
