TWO gun men believed to be linked to a bikie gang, shot a man and assaulted his pregnant partner at a home on the Gold Coast.
The men stormed the property at Wongawallan in the Gold Coast hinterland at about 6pm (AEST) where they shot a man in the shoulder and assaulted a woman, police said.
The shooting victim and his partner were tied up and a small child witnessed the shooting.
Paramedics took the 42 year-old man and 39-year-old woman to the Gold Coast Hospital. The man was in a stable condition and the woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The offenders fled the scene in a white Holden ute.
The shooting is believed to be bikie-related.
Police officers from Taskforce Hydra which investigates outlaw motorcycle gangs are involved in the investigation, the Courier Mail reported.
The shooting is the third on the Gold Coast in a three weeks.
