Bikies ordered to leave tattoo
shop alone

A BIKIE gang on the Gold Coast has been ordered to leave a tattoo shop owner in
peace or watch their sergeant-at-arms go to jail.
Black Uhlan sergeant-at-arms Liborio Di Vita, 32, and club member Colin John
Chambers, 25, yesterday pleaded guilty in the Southport Magistrates Court to
stalking a Varsity Lakes shop owner in 2009 in a bid to shut him down and
protect their 'territory'.
Magistrate Michael Hogan yesterday slapped a five-year restraining order on the
pair, forbidding them and any associates from the club from coming within 100m
of True Tattoo owner Lindsay Green or having any direct or indirect contact with
him.
Solicitor Bill Potts agreed that if the order was breached, his clients' feet
'would not even touch the ground' before they were put behind bars.
The court was told Mr Green opened his tattoo parlour in January 2009 but was
repeatedly visited by the gang.
Mr Green reported the incident to police who installed hidden cameras and
listening devices in the shop.
The pair were caught on camera.
Mr Potts said Di Vita made it clear to Mr Green he was not there to extort or
stand over him but was acting on his president's orders to advise him to shut
down his shop immediately.
Di Vita and Chambers yesterday pleaded guilty to stalking.
Mr Hogan sentenced Di Vita to eight months in jail and Chambers to six months,
suspending both terms immediately but warned they would go to jail next time.
