Police allegedly found 1.3 kilograms of meth in the car being driven by a Gypsy Joker bikie

Police have seized drugs worth $600,000 allegedly from the car of the president of the Kalgoorlie Gypsy Joker bikies.

Detectives found 1.3 kilograms of methylamphetamine yesterday after searching a car two men were in on the Great Southern Highway.

Police also seized an assault rifle with ammunition at a house in Gosnells.

The men, aged 43 and 22, have been charged with possessing a prohibited drug and intent to sell.

Inspector Paul McMurtrie says the seizure will have a huge impact on the availablilty of drugs in Kalgoorlie.

"It's well documented the side effects of methamphetamine, aggression, assaults, domestic violence, it's all linked to this drug, so to take that off the street is very significant," he said.
