Bikie charged over lifeguard bashing on Gold Coast

Gold Coast lifeguard Phil Gregory was bashed after ordering a dog off the beach.
A BIKIE gang member has been charged
following last week's assault on a Gold Coast lifeguard.
The man, 35, is a member of the Black Uhlans outlaw motorcycle gang and was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm on Monday.
He's accused of repeatedly punching council lifeguard Phil Gregory at a North Burleigh beach on May 21, leaving him with facial injuries including a cut above his left eye.
It's believed the attack was sparked when Mr Gregory asked a woman not to walk her dog through a red and yellow flagged patrol area.
Police say the man, believed to be the woman's partner, approached Mr Gregory and punched him while he sat in his patrol vehicle.
The man will face Southport Magistrates Court on June 11.
