IT was an order that allegedly came from the top of the Comanchero bikie gang - and there was to be "no dicking around", a court heard yesterday.
In the aftermath of his brother's violent death in a Sydney Airport brawl last year, Hells Angel Peter Zervas had allegedly moved to the top of the Comanchero hit list.
Police allege in documents filed in court that a former Comanchero insider told police of covert meetings to discuss the hit on Zervas.
One meeting of junior members was allegedly told the order to "knock" Zervas "came straight from Dakka".
Police allege in the document, tendered to Waverley Local Court, that "Dakka" is the nickname of Daux Ngakuru - the current boss of the Comanchero gang.
Brothers Richard and Christopher Fong are charged with conspiracy to murder and participating in a criminal gang. Ngakuru has not been charged.
Zervas was shot up to eight times in his driveway a week after Anthony was fatally bashed at Sydney Airport.
Patrick Conaghan, acting for the Fongs, yesterday applied for bail and police tendered a prosecution outline.
In it, they allege rank and file Comanchero were ordered to carry out "around the clock" surveillance on Zervas until he was "knocked". The alleged plot had been stepped up amid fears that Zervas and his Hells Angels gang members would mount their own revenge attacks.
"It was anticipated that after the funeral [of his brother] Peter Zervas would go underground to engage in retaliatory attacks on the Comanchero member- ship and office-holders," police alleged.
At least two surveillance groups were allegedly organised, even monitoring Zervas as he attended his brother's wake, using portable radios.
One senior member allegedly told them: "Come on boys, get it done."
Mr Conaghan told the court a witness codenamed "SP" was behind the charging of his clients, but said he was an unreliable witness having lied under oath in an attempt to disassociate himself from his former gang.
Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge denied both men bail.
