THE owner of the clubhouse of the Perth Coffin Cheaters bikie gang has been ordered to remove fortifications from the premises.
Cheetah Investments, which owns the Coffin Cheaters Outlaw Motorcycle Gang clubhouse in Bayswater, in Perth's north east, accepted the conditions of a Fortifications Removal Notice today.
WA Police had applied to the Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) to have the walls removed, and the CCC issued a warning notice on January 24.
The owners had 14 days to respond or a fortification removal notice could be issued.
After hearing submissions from lawyers representing Cheetah Investments, the Assistant Commissioner for crime issued a fortification removal notice to the owner.
Cheetah Investments had until February 25 to either agree to remove the walls or make an application to the WA Supreme Court appealing the notice.
The owner agreed to remove or modify the fortifications and has been granted four weeks to make the changes.
If the walls are not removed or modified by March 25, the Commissioner may force compliance.
