The Corvette powered ‘Predator’ trike

15 Sep
It has been developed in Australia, is a bike, is powered by the LS1 Corvette
engine, and is set to be assembled in New Zealand.
Australian designer and builder John Wilson is intending on bringing his
Appocalypse Trikes business to New Zealand shores to start manufacture of the
‘Predator’.
The prototype bike is powered by the 400+ hp Corvette engine, and Wilson says
with a total weight of 800kg its power to weight ratio ‘is right up there’.
Having taken to the track for testing (less the finished body), Wilson was
pleased to give it the big tick.
With natural interest in the evolution of the concept, the production version is
to be powered by the LS6 (6-litre) Corvette engine and is to feature on TV show
Beyond Tomorrow and Discovery Channel.
Being imported to New Zealand for the Auckland held ‘Big Boys Toys’, it is
Wilson’s intention to get the bike complied here and start construction.
Already we have orders for 20 units to go to the Emirates,” Wilson says.
Adding the body appearance is already looking better in real life than the
concept photos.
