DRUGS and firearms have been seized as a result of a police phone-in on bikie gangs in Adelaide.
South Australian police
said the phone-in attracted 86 anonymous calls that
warranted further investigation.
There were 41 calls in relation to illicit drug
activity including the production and trafficking of
amphetamines, cannabis and ecstasy.
Police said most other calls related to general criminal activity, serious assaults, acts of violence, extortions, firearms offences and liquor licensing breaches.
Officer in charge of the Crime Gangs Task Force, detective superintendent Des Bray, said he was "very pleased" pleased with the response from the public.
It has led to several arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons and firearms as well as the arrests of wanted suspects with outstanding warrants.
