Men to face court over Christmas Eve glassing

Three Finks bikies have been charged over the glassing and bashing a 22-year-old man at a Gold Coast bar on Christmas Eve.

Police allege the man was struck in the face, neck, chest and stomach with a broken bottle before being punched and kicked as he lay on the floor at the Berlin Bar in Surfers Paradise about midnight on December 24.

A 20-year-old Ashmore man and a 35-year-old Labrador man, both members of the Finks gang, have been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed in company.

A 26-year-old Broadbeach man and Finks associate has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed in company, possess dangerous drug, possess utensil, fail to dispose of syringe and needle, and unsecured ammunition.

All three men are due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A 28-year-old Finks member was charged on December 28 in relation to the incident.

He has been remanded in custody until his committal hearing on April 3.
