13/2 Gang dispute case remanded
NZ. - Two men involved in the Gascoigne St dispute with the Lone Legion
Motorcycle Club have had their cases remanded until March 3.
In Blenheim District Court yesterday, Judge Pat Grace accepted
submissions that extra time be granted so Sloan MacDonald and Matthew Te
Puia could appeal for legal aid.
MacDonald is charged with using a warratah as an offensive weapon and Te
Puia with assault using a pinch bar.
Both alleged incidents occurred on September 15 when another man, Carl
MacDonald, was fatally shot.
Judge Grace also gave Thomas MacDonald, charged with assaulting a man
with a beer bottle on January 19, until March 3 to apply for legal aid.
