Bikie accused of car theft

A MEMBER of the Finks motorcycle gang will face a Gold Coast court today after stealing a car and threatening the owner at Benowa on Thursday night.

Police said a 23-year-old woman had made arrangements to sell her vehicle, and after signing paperwork with a woman at one address, had to drive her car to another house to collect payment.

The woman drove her black Toyota Celica to a Benowa car park where police allege the 35-year-old man exited another vehicle and threatened the female driver before stealing her car and mobile phone.

The man will appear in Southport Magistrates Court charged with robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and demanding property with menace.
