The attorneys-general will discuss a range of legal issues including the
harmonisation of laws across jurisdictions.
"There is particular interest among my colleagues from interstate in our
laws to take on the criminal bikie gangs," said SA Attorney-General
Michael Atkinson.
"We are not alone in having to tackle their criminal influence, but we
are far more advanced than the other states in developing tough new laws
to disrupt their activities at every turn."
The meeting will also consider the contentious proposal to introduce an
R18+ classification for computer games.
Mr Atkinson said he remained opposed to the proposal for such games to
be available for sale.
"I am aware of considerable lobbying from gamers and the gaming
industry, but my view remains unchanged that these games depicting
extreme violence, racism and violent and degrading sexual assaults
should not be available no matter what rating they are given," he said.
