Gang Member Caught After Police

Auckland Police have pursued a gang member on a motorcycle across Auckland, holding up traffic.

Auckland Police have pursued a gang member on a motorcycle across Auckland, holding up traffic.
Police say the pursuit began in Beach
Haven on the North Shore when the rider of a Harley Davidson failed to stop
for police.
The police helicopter took up the
chase, and motorway patrols put a moving block in place on the Southern
Motorway between Newmarket and Greenlane.
Police say the man was seen to throw
packets of white powder from his pockets onto the road.
The rider was eventually pulled over
near Ellerslie and taken into custody.
The police delayed south-bound traffic
for a short time to recover the items the gang member discarded. They say
normal traffic flow for the time of day has now resumed.
