Bikie links suspected in Mogriguy shooting
Friday, 14 January 2005
Dubbo police think yesterday's drive-by shooting in the small rural
village of Mogriguy, in central-western New South Wales, could be
linked to a bikie shooting in Dubbo.
A 53-year-old man and his 15-year old son were making a meal when at
least five shots were fired into their Mogriguy house at midnight.
The pair raced outside to see a metallic-coloured car driving
towards Dubbo.
Dubbo crime manager Mick Willing says it is still not clear if the
shooting is related to the Wheelers Lane shooting and a similar
incident on the Bunglegumbie Road late last year.
"There was a shooting late last year at the Rebels clubhouse and a
connected shooting - I can't go into the links of it but we're
considering if these events are linked," he said.
