Police target Finks
motorcycle gang
Outlaw motorcycle gang the Finks were targeted by police last
night, after calls from the public complaining the bikies were
ignoring road rules in Adelaide's western suburbs.
The Operation Avatar taskforce issued 30 defect notices for
motorcycles, and arrested one person for allegedly assaulting
police outside the Thebarton Theatre.
Police were later called to Seaview Road at Grange, where a brawl
broke out.
Police claim they were pelted with projectiles, and one officer
struck with a bottle.
Inspector John Gerlach says seven people were arrested, one for
allegedly possessing ecstasy.
"Their behaviour overnight displayed a total disregard for
the law and police won't tolerate that sort of behavior and we'll
continue to police those sorts of incidents at every opportunity
and take action every time we can," he said.
