Police eliciting information from jailed bikie
A Perth jury has been told police are continuing to elicit information from a former bikie who is serving a life prison term for murder.

The District Court heard the former member of the Gypsy Jokers gang also receives small amounts money from police.

Sidney Reid received two life prison sentences with a 15-year minimum for murdering former CIB chief Don Hancock and his friend Lou Lewis, killed in a car bomb attack three years ago.

Reid's minimum term was reduced because he co-operated with police, including testifying against his former bikie colleagues who are on trial, accused of carrying out revenge attacks on properties belonging to Mr Hancock.

Today police testified Reid was being held in a maximum security jail outside of Western Australia and because of security concerns received no visitors. other than police officers who continued to obtain information from him.

The court was also told police put small amounts of money in his prison account so he could buy potato chips and cigarettes.

Reid is due to give his evidence later this month.
