Kalgoorlie nightclub owner bashed in brawl
Police are continuing their investigations into the bashing of a
nightclub owner in the Western Australian town of Kalgoorlie
early this morning.
It is understood the assault involved members of the outlaw
motorcycle gang, the Gypsy Jokers.
Ambulance officers were called to treat a number of people at
Club 151 in Hannan Street.
They say a brawl erupted as members of the gang assaulted the
club's manager.
St John Ambulance says the manager was taken to hospital
suffering lacerations to his head and concussion.

Gypsy Joker Slater charged over nightclub bashing
Gypsy Joker bikie Graeme Slater is again in West Australian
police custody after being charged over a bashing at a Kalgoorlie
nightclub.
Mr Slater was released from prison two-and-a-half weeks ago,
after being acquitted of carrying out bombing and arson attacks
in the goldfields town of Ora Banda.
He has now been charged with assault after allegedly punching the
manager of the nightclub and hitting him with a bar stool
yesterday morning.
He has been refused bail and will appear in court tomorrow.
Two other bikies have also been charged with assault after
allegedly punching and kicking a security guard to the ground.
