Harley-Davidson set a new quater-mile record during the K&N
Filters NHRA Nationals by running a 7.016 second pass. Earlier,
the same motorcycle had established the record with a 7.020. In
the final race of the day, however, Harley eclipsed its own
record and won the PS/B division. Other winners were Gary Denshem
in Top Fuel/Funny Car, Larry Dixon in Top Fuel, and Jason Line in
Pro Stock/Auto.
