Police are not expecting any trouble from a motorcycle club that is heading
to this weekend's Port Fairy Folk Festival.
The Coffin Cheaters
Motorcycle Club has informed the police and Moyne council that they will be
attending the event.
Superintendent Gordon
McLeod says he expects the bikers' presence to be low key.
"Between 50 and a 100
is my estimation. Probably some five years ago I think they were here and
there were some issues that arose then in a caravan park, but now the
accommodation is very tight in Port Fairy this time of the year, that won't
be an issue this year," he said.
"There was obviously
noise and drunkenness and that sort of conduct but, as I said, they won't be
in the area where the majority of people will be."
