Bikie gang member faces drug charges
A Rebels motorcycle gang member and two associates have been charged with
drug offences during a police crackdown on organised crime gangs in
Busselton, south-west Western Australia.
Police from the Perth-based Gang Crime
Squad raided three properties in Ludlow and Abbey last week.
They uncovered 10 grams of
amphetamines, more than 700 grams of cannabis and nine cannabis plants.
The occupant of one of the Ludlow
properties, Rebels member Richard Taylor, 53, yesterday pleaded guilty in
Busselton Magistrates Court to possessing cannabis and cultivating cannabis.
He was fined $700 plus court costs.
The occupant of the Abbey property,
Rebels' associate Scott Allan Creighton, 37, appeared in Busselton
Magistrates Court on a charge of possessing amphetamines with intent to sell
or supply.
He is due to appear in court again at
a later date.
A 38-year-old Rebels' associate living
at the other Ludlow property is yet to appear in court on charges of
possessing cannabis and possessing a smoking implement.
