New bike

Saw a bit of a bargain and jumped on it, 4 hr drive to pick it up...with my bung leg thought it wise to trailer it back till I set it up for myself.

My mate Muzz  at Pt Macquarie after we picked it up and went to super cheap to buy a couple more straps. What a hassel getting it on the trailer, lucky my mate came with me or  I’d never have done it…ramp was a bit steep, bottomed out…heavy beast of a thing.... stressed to the max waiting to lose it!

Stopped at Kew pub for lunch, awesome steak!

Stopped at Bulahdelah pub for a beer with a mate who lives there

Brake lever had been bent into a strange shape so I pulled it off to straighten and adjust so I might be able to use it....

but it was still not to be...

Off for the first ride, went ok, fastest thing I've ever ridden I think...need to make some adjustments so I can use the back brake...

First impression are, they're just  f ing huge...but sitting on it, the weight distribution seems ok, and the seat is low enough for both feet to touch the ground at my 5'10" on a good day...

When I first saw it with all the chrome I said to the seller, looks too flash for me !

Not too keen on the bars, bit wide and a bit low , that makes me lean forward a bit, that might be tiring on the back after a while. Not having ridden without a screen for some years was a bit different, the screen really take pressure of the chest and you're not having to hang on for grim death under hard acceleration like I was today...but I can either get used to it or buy one I guess...

Seemed to handle well, drops into right hand corners a bit easier than the old Dyna.

It was almost like learning to ride again on a short rake completely different feel, but I think I can get used to it...
