Working on cars is as enjoyable as a trip to the dentist I reckon....but as there's no work this week, and it aint worth spending $1400 to have someone else fix a $2200 car, I might as well do it myself. I thought it was a burnt valve but upon removing the head after 5 hours work, most of which was 4 bolts holding the inlet manifold on, I found it was just a gasket blown between cylinders 4 and 5. At least I managed to get the damn thing off this time, better than I did with the jeep a few months ago..

The bore looks good, hardly  any wear apparent at all....and suprisingly the head looks fine too.Even after driving it for 3 1/2 weeks like that...

Theres the culprit....Put a straightedge on the head and it seems fine, wasnt using any water or anything, just vibrating a lot at low revs
