Motorcyclist dies after bikies collide on Hume Freeway at Tallarook

 
A MAN is dead after two motorcyclists collided on an outlaw bikie run along the Hume Freeway at Tallarook, about 100km from Melbourne.

The Greensborough man — who was believed to be a bikie died on the way to hospital after a serious collision at Tallarook on the Hume Freeway on Saturday afternoon.

The 49-year-old man was riding with an outlaw motorcycle gang, which has not been named, when he collided with another rider who lost control in front of him at around 12:40pm.

Police spokeswoman Lee Thomson ruled out earlier reports that a car hit the two bikers.

“It appears one motorcyclist lost partial control of his bike and was struck by a second bike behind him and they were both thrown from their bikes” she said.

The second man, a 44-year-old from Essendon was taken to Northern Hospital in a serious condition with leg injuries after he lost control of his bike.
