Gypsy Jokers Raided

Police have rescued a stolen Alpaca, and seized firearms, drugs and cash from an outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) clubhouse in Sydney’s west.

Yesterday (Wednesday 18 June 2014) morning, investigators from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor executed a search warrant at the Gypsy Joker OMCG’s Horsley Park clubhouse.

During the search warrant, police located a loaded .32 calibre revolver, a loaded pistol, approximately 700 rounds of ammunition, more than 200 tablets (believed to be MDMA), and a brown female Alpaca, which was being kept in a paddock at the rear of the clubhouse.

The Alpaca, named Cleo, was allegedly stolen from a property in Bringelly in February.

RSPCA officers have taken Cleo in for medical examination, and she is expected to be returned to her owners soon.

An investigation into the matter is being led by the Gangs Squad and police expect to make arrests.

The seizure of the items comes during Operation Unification, a joint initiative involving police agencies from across Australia, which is focused on getting illicit firearms out of the hands of criminals. Operation Unification is being conducted between Monday 16 June and Sunday 29 June 2014
