Bikie charged over NSW jail attack

A Rebels bikie has been accused of attacking a former member of the gang in a Sydney correctional facility, including choking him until he lost consciousness.

Police allege the 27-year-old man shook the 32-year-old former member's hand before punching him, throwing him to the ground and choking him at a Silverwater facility on March 16.

The 27-year-old was arrested at a correctional facility on Wednesday and later charged with intentionally choke person with recklessness and affray, and is due to face Parramatta Local Court on Friday.
