POLICE have raided an outlaw motorcycle gang's clubhouse at Tweed Heads as part of investigations into the alleged unlawful sale of alcohol.

On Saturday night at about 7.30pm, officers from Strike Force Raptor conducted a search warrant at an industrial unit on Ourimbah Rd.

They were assisted by police from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command, the Operational Support Group (OSG) and Queensland Police.

During a search of the premises, which was being used as the clubhouse for the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, police allegedly located evidence of the unlawful sale of alcohol.

They dismantled the bar and seized premix bottles of spirits, beer, fridges, eskies, cash, pool tables, glassware, furniture and documents.

Police also allegedly detected breaches of essential fire safety measures and a breach of the Environment Planning and Protection Act.

No one was at the clubhouse at the time of the search and investigations by Strike Force Raptor are continuing.
Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command's Gangs Squad in 2009.

It is a proactive operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal enterprises.
