The daughter of renowned surgeon Charlie Teo has pleaded
not guilty to her alleged role in a crash that left a
former bikie boss fighting for life.
Nicola Teo appeared in court today via video link with
her lawyer.
She is alleged to have been driving on the wrong side of
the road with a child in the passenger seat when she had
a head-on collision with former Comancheros hardman Jock
Ross and his motorcycle.
The crash happened in the Hawkesbury region outside
Sydney on September 25.
Teo is charged with dangerous driving occasioning
grievous bodily harm, an offence which carries a maximum
term of seven years imprisonment on conviction.
She also faces charges of negligent driving occasioning
grievous bodily harm, not keeping left of the dividing
line and not giving particulars to police in relation to
the crash on Settlers Rd at Lower Macdonald, near
Wisemans Ferry.
Her bail was continued, and her case is listed for a
mention in Sydney District Court on August 14.
