Bikie gangs believed to be behind shots fired into a house in Kambah

Shots were fired into a Kambah home this month, ACT Policing have revealed nearly two weeks after the event.

Police say no one was injured in the incident, which took place on Saturday, July 16 about 9pm.

The incident is believed to be bikie gang related, police say, noting the victim has "chosen not to cooperate" with them at this stage.

It is one of two recent incidents related to an outlaw motorcycle gang that police are investigating, having also published CCTV footage of attempted arson in Fyshwick this week.

The shooting also comes after another incident of shots being fired into a home in Kambah in April this year. It is not known whether that was bikie gang-related, nor if any of the incidents are connected.

ACT Policing's Detective Marcus Boorman said despite the crimes, "Canberra remains a very safe city to reside in".

He said while we are "not immune" to the presence of outlaw motorcycle gans, police "actively monitor their activities".
