....well finally got round to finishing off the job...new stator looks a tad healthier than the old...

fitting th plug thru th casing was a bit finicky...smidge of vaso on th plug ..& rags everywhere to protect windings & shaft...

needle nose pliers did the trick getting that plug in there proper...

& not to forget the plug / wire retainer to help keep them away from th rotor.....

wollah...retainer on with 2 small screws...now jus the four new torx head screws to bolt up th stator....piece o piss eh..!

ohh shit, fk. damn...!...cheap torx head bits..!...

off on th Trumpy all th way into town to buy another bloody torx head set.....

stator finally mounted, compensator gear all on after first cleaning up the old loctite from the threads of the nut & shaft.....new loctite, then torqued to specs, well

sorta, as me torque wrench only goes to 120 ft/lb...so that & a good heave beyond hopefully takes it to around th required 150 ft/lb...

adjusted primary chain, outer primary cover back on, woohoo...next, bang th new oil in....shit, fk, damn, forgot th bung!...dkhead...lucky not too much wasted on th floor...

new voltage regulator with some healthier lookin pins....

off with th old & mounted new new one...

ran wire down to th circuit breaker on th rear fender, cut to length & crimped & mounted to c/b.....plugged th other two into th stator....done!!

fired her up,  quick blat round th paddock...all seems good, voltages as they should be.....beauty.!!

damn, wots that bita fuel doing comin outa th carb overflow....jeez another gremlin...maintenance ever stop!?!....nup guess not!
