TWO members of the Hunter Valley Gladiators Outlaw Motorcycle Gang have been charged with the vicious assault of a former club member.
Central Hunter police arrested the pair - a 45-year-old man from Maitland and a 38-year-old man from Warners Bay - at a hotel in Maitland.
They were charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after an incident on November 15.
A 42-year-old man was driving in East Maitland when he was allegedly rammed from behind by white Ford Falcon.
The driver, a former member of the Gladiators, was then allegedly beaten by a number of men. He was hospitalised with serious head and leg injuries which required surgery.
Central Hunter Detectives investigated the incident and as a result two males allegedly involved in the assaulted were identified.
The men were refused bail and will appear in Maitland Local Court on Saturday.
