Tribesmen Hassled
Rotorua police converged on members of the
Tribesmen gang on Monday afternoon outside
Rotorua Girls' High School on Old Taupo Rd.
The Daily Post saw nine police officers speaking
with up to 15 gang members just after 4pm with
school children and nearby residents gathering
for a peek at the action.
Rotorua police Senior Sergeant Malcolm Collins
said the group had been stopped on a routine
traffic stop to check their licences and
registrations.
He said the group had been out for a ride and
were returning home to Murupara.
