Comancheros arrested, refused bail
Neither 23-year-old Shahin Norozian nor his
26-year-old associate Danny Nassar made an application for bail
in Burwood Local Court this morning.
Norozian, arrested yesterday at an apartment complex in Rhodes,
was charged with attempted murder following the police
operation.
The 23-year-old - who police believe is linked to the Comanchero
outlaw motorcycle group - was also charged for six counts of
firearms offences.
Nassar, who was also arrested at the Rhodes
premises was charged with larceny, goods in custody and firearms
offences.
A subsequent search of a property in south-west Sydney revealed
a number of suspicious bank cheques and three pistols.
Police allege the pair were involved in a major fraud operation
and are connected to the Doonside shooting of rival gang member
Saber Murad in November.
Murad has been linked to the bikie gang Notorious.
Detectives have been working with the Australian Tax Office
since April last year.
Supported by other Comanchero members in Burwood Local Court
today, neither Norozian nor Nassr applied for bail.
They will return to court on March 16.
