Strike Force Raptor
officers have
arrested and charged
an Outlaw Motorcycle
Gang member over
alleged drug and
firearm related
offences.
About 11.10pm on
Saturday (20 August
2011), Strike Force
Raptor officers
stopped a Suzuki
Vitara leaving a
function at the
Bandidos Clubhouse
at Seven Hills.
During a search of
the vehicle, police
allegedly located
and seized a
quantity of cannabis
and a quantity of
other restricted
substances. In the
boot of the vehicle,
police also alleged
located a loaded .32
calibre
semi-automatic
pistol and
ammunition.
A 40-year-old man
was arrested at the
scene. Police allege
he is a member of
the Bandidos Outlaw
Motorcycle Gang.
He was taken to St
Marys Police Station
and charged with
possess prohibited
drug, possess
prescribed
restricted substance
x2, possess loaded
firearm in a public
place, possess
unregistered
unauthorised pistol
in a public place,
possess unauthorised
pistol, posses
unregistered firearm
and possess
ammunition without
holding a licence or
permit.
He was refused bail
and appeared at
Blacktown Local
Court on 21 August,
where he was refused
bail to re-appear at
Blacktown Local
Court on 2 September
2011.
Strike Force Raptor
was established by
the State Crime
Command’s Gangs
Squad in 2009 and is
a proactive,
high-impact
operation targeting
outlaw motorcycle
gangs and their
alleged associated
criminal
enterprises.
