Bikie member shot dead

A member of of the Comanchero bikie gang has been killed and his father and club president wounded in a shooting in Adelaide.

A bikie gang member has been shot dead and his father and club president wounded in Adelaide's north.

Police believe the men were shot at Dry Creek and then drove to nearby Prospect where a police patrol vehicle was stopped near the Prospect Village Shopping Centre about 9pm (CDT) yesterday.

Giovanni Focarelli, 22, was dead by the time ambulance crews arrived while his father, Comanchero club president Vince Focarelli, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

An ambulance spokeswoman told News Ltd Mr Focarelli was in a stable condition and walking when crews arrived.

Part of Prospect Road was cordoned off while police examined the Focarellis' car.

About half an hour after the shooting a group of people arrived and had to be restrained by police from entering the crime scene.

News Ltd said one woman had to be tackled by three officers.

Police later told reporters Mr Focarelli was refusing to help officers investigating his son's death.
