Bikie accused of having Bond-like gun

A gun disguised as a torch is the sort of gadget you might expect James Bond to have up his sleeve - but Sydney police have found one on a 25-year-old alleged high-ranking bikie.

The homemade device, loaded with a single bullet, was potentially lethal, police said.

Police discovered the weapon after speaking with the occupants of a vehicle suspected of being linked to a motorcycle gang at a petrol station in Prairiewood, in Sydney's west, about 11pm (AEDT) yesterday.

The man also had the illegal drug ice on him, police said.

He is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court today charged with possession of a prohibited drug, possession of ammunition and possession of a prohibited firearm.
