Man cleared over Bunbury hotel
shooting
A motorcycle gang member has walked free from court after being cleared of a
shooting incident at a Bunbury hotel in south-west Western Australia.
Club Deroes member Andrew Edhouse, 31,
gained notoriety when he was charged and later acquitted over the murder and
attempted murder of three rival gang members in 1998.
Today, the District Court in Bunbury
cleared Mr Edhouse of charges relating to an incident at the Highway hotel
earlier this year in which he was accused of punching a woman and
discharging a pistol.
He was also accused of threatening to
kill a rival gang member from the Coffin Cheaters motorcycle club.
Judge Robert Mazza said there was no
case to answer due to a lack of evidence.
