Council to discuss Rebels' club development

Wednesday, 12 January 2005

A controversial development application by the Rebels motorcycle group to modify its club facilities in Pambula will be up for discussion by Bega Valley shire councillors later this month.

The Rebels group has lodged a development application with the council, but submissions have also been received opposing the proposal.

The shire's director of environment, planning and development, Garrat Barry, says the application is due to come before the council's meeting on January 18.

"They've got a facility at the moment just in the industrial area there and, I suppose, to expand it on with a gym but there's been some issues raised about the operation of the premises, so we will need to look into that."
