Rebels fundraising success
Friday, 18 February 2005

The Yass Rebels Motorcycle Club last Friday donated $2,700 to the Yass Hospital Auxiliary to assist with their current fundraising projects.

The donation was the proceeds of a recent dice run, during which 100 riders visited country pubs across the district, each of whom assisted with sponsorship for the event.

"Sumo"  and "Case"  made the presentation to Auxiliary President, Wendy Findley, Treasurer, Shirley Williamson and "workers" Marj Wilson and Mary Warren.

"This donation represents three Melbourne Cup functions," said Wendy in thanking the group for their generous donation.

The funds will go towards and electric lift bed, enabling greater safety for elderly patients and their nursing staff and also an ISAT machine, which will mean blood samples no longer have to be sent to Goulburn or Canberra for testing.
