Former OMCG member charged following search warrant - Airds

Police have charged a man with OMCG links after a search warrant was executed in Airds yesterday.
Just before 3pm (Friday 13 June 2014), detectives attached to Campbelltown Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Morago Way.
They located and seized a number of items alleged to have been stolen including bathroom fixtures, power tools and swords and knives. They also seized surveillance/electronic equipment, drug paraphernalia, and a shortened rifle and scope.
A 64-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with 11 offences including:
- Receive/dispose stolen property
- Goods suspected stolen in/on premises
- Possess shortened firearm (not pistol)
- Not keep firearm safely – prohibited firearm
- Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance
- Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permission.
The man, who police allege is a former Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member, was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 14 June 2014).
