A methylamphetamine-affected bikie who died
after crashing his motorcycle while fleeing a police traffic stop
perished as a result of his own deliberate actions, a WA coroner has
concluded.
Jason Barry Winchester died in hospital from a severe head injury sustained on November 11, 2013 when he ignored a direction to pull over and instead accelerated towards one of the officers, then lost control, crashing into a stationary car in the Perth suburb of Carine.
Coroner Barry King concluded in inquest findings released on Tuesday that the actions of the police officers involved did not contribute in any way to the 34-year-old Rebels member's death.
