Detectives and officers executed a search warrant at the resort about 7am where they allegedly found ice, steroids and a baton.
The 27-year-old patched member of the Nomads OMCG was charged with three counts of the possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of possession of restricted drugs, possessing property suspected of being used in a crime and possession of a restricted item (a baton).
His partner, also 27, was also charged with two counts of possession of dangerous drugs, and one count each of possession of restricted drugs, possessing property suspected of being used in a crime, possession of a drug utensil, disobeying a lawful order, possession of a restricted item (a baton), possession of tainted property (number plates suspected of being stolen) and breach of bail.
Both are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Detective Inspector Brendan Smith from Taskforce Maxima said it again showed police were finding gang members and their associates in possession of dangerous drugs.
“This continual offending behaviour clearly shows the true nature of these gangs,” he said.
