A member of the Rebels motorcycle gang has died after after his vehicle veered off the road, struck a ditch and became airborne before crashing near Lake Clifton yesterday.
The 29-year-old Merriwa man had been riding along Grove Road towards Waroona with about 90 other motorcyclists when he crashed around 3.15pm.
An ambulance was called but the man died before St John Ambulance paramedics arrived.
"One member of the group was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle and appears to have lost control of the motorcycle on Peppermint Grove Road, approximately 2km from the Forrest Highway, in Lake Clifton," a police spokesman said.
