The SA Police Bikie Task Force kept a close eye on the Gypsey Jokers Motorcycle Club’s Get Out of Gaol Free Poker Run as it passed through Clare on Saturday afternoon enroute to Gladstone.
Officers from the bikie task force escorted the Poker Run along with police officers in marked patrol cars and on motorcycles.
The Poker Run stopped for lunch and refreshments at the Bentleys Hotel which had recruited the Lions Club of Clare District which sold about 100 sausages from their barbecue.
After lunch the bikies lined up in the main street double-file behind a police patrol car and held up traffic for a few minutes while waiting for the police motorcycles to return.
They roared in harmony down the main street bound for an overnight stay, barbecue and entertainment at Gladstone Gaol, before travelling to Two Wells via Yorke Peninsula on Sunday.
